Flowforms are so much more than water features. Their underlying designs come from the forces of nature and the natural movement of water in rivers, streams and oceans. Water pulses. It meanders, and it vortexes. It is the soul of nature and the engineer of survival.
The shape of a Flowform sculpture allows the water that flows through it, to build up a resonant rhythmic movement. The water that flows through a flowform responds to the carefully formed surface of the form. Even though the water that enters has a steady flow, a pulse, a rhythm and an infinity shape is generated by the relationship between the form and the flow.
Development of these forms often requires much experimentation – the shape of any one design of flowform may take months or even years to perfect. It really is like tuning an instrument.
